About the Opportunity
To manage and oversee all operational aspects of the business, comprising delivery of all aspects of Ship Maintenance and In-Service Support to vessels. This will include further developing business capability, enhancing current opportunities, driving support growth in the region, and responsibility for the Operational Management of the business to meet budget.
This role will focus on delivery of availability developing and enhancing Ship Repair Services and In Service Support practices in an effective manner, whilst seeking efficiencies, operating within the Austal and Clients regulatory framework and expectations.

- Oversee and Support Team to deliver to Operational, Schedule and Quality expectations of internal and external Clients.
- Build and maintain networks with local industry and suppliers, so as to best progress required business outcomes.
- Manage and maintain statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure personnel, infrastructure and facilities meet current and future business needs.
- Deliver financial year revenue & manage budget financial performance.
- Reduce cost and maximise Revenue and GP through good planning and improving efficiency.
You’ll Need
Essential
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial operational/Trade roles
- Diploma in Project Management
- In Service Support/Asset Management/Service Centre/Ship repair Management experience
- Outstanding communication, leadership and people management skills, and be comfortable working with, and influencing all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable
- A working understanding of the Commercial and Defence Marine Service Industry, as well as maintenance, service and Class compliance practices, is highly advantageous.
- A Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or Business.
